| Amy Ackerman (Mrs. Sorken,
Amanda, Big Daddy) Amy hails from the bay area where she trained with
the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and performed in
their triple threat Cabaret Performance Project. She performed in a ton
of shows there including The Learned Ladies, The
Wild Party, Present
Laughter, and the title role in The Heidi
Chronicles. She moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and attended
the Musical Theatre Program at the American Musical Dramatic Academy.
Later on she completed an arts advocacy internship for the LA Festival
of New American Musicals and served on the student board of LA Stage
Alliance. She’s currently continuing her education and hopes to pursue a
career in Arts Administration and theatre development. Love to Robert,
Nathan and my darling Sean! Stephen Davalos (George) This is Stephen's 2nd show at Glendale Community College. Stephen is a sophomore at GCC and is majoring in Theatre Arts. Stephen has previously been shows such as Cash on Delivery, Three Sisters, and On the Town, as well as many others. He also graduated from culinary school in 2008 and is now working in a bakery in South Pasadena. He would like to thank Larry and Melissa for this wonderful opportunity and his mother, sister and grandma for supporting him through every acting and culinary adventure! Amanda Fontoura (Blanche, Dame Ellen Terry) Amanda moved here from the San Francisco Bay Area a little over a year ago to pursue her acting career. She discovered her love for theatre at a very young age. Amanda played The Dark Witch in Dark of the Moon as well as many other student written plays at Vallejo High School. Amber Parker (Cora, Maggie 1, Sarah Siddons) The Durang Menagerie is Amber's second play at Glendale College. She has the pleasure of working with Larry Biederman for the second time as well. Her first major stage appearance was when she was eleven, being cast in the musical Alice in Wonderland as Alice. She acted throughout high school, with starring roles in Bat Boy! The Musical as Shelly, Machinal as Helen, Bad Habits as Nurse Benson, Mr. Kolpert as Sarah, and The Fox as Nelly. She would like to thank M. Kane for being the most influential instigator of the development of her talent. Also, she'd like to thank all of the people in her life that support her motivation to do whatever makes her happy, even though most of the time they're crazy and capricious dreams! Ryan Rogers (Tom, Young man, Henry Irving). This is Ryan’s 1st production at GCC. Ryan is majoring in Theater Arts. He has been a part of many plays at Yosemite High School. He played Tranio in Taming of the Shrew and Patsy in a production of Dance Marathon. He has also directed Arsenic and Old Lace for his senior project. Ryan plans on moving to Seattle and attending Seattle University to study law. He would like to thank his Mom, Cindy Antigoni and his Father, Louis Antigoni for always supporting and helping Ryan throughout his theatrical career. Also he would like to thank Danielle Nichelmann for “always being in the front row”. Aren Soulahian (Lawrence, Stanley, The Executioner) Aren graduated from Hoover high school in 2008. This is his 2nd production at Glendale Community College. He is currently double majoring in marketing and theater arts. Aren has been involved in theater sense he was 10 years old. A few of his old roles were, Wayne Wallacer in Inspecting Carol, Clive in See How They Run, Stanley in Greater Tuna,The King in Once Upon a Mattress and many more. Aren would like to thank everyone in the cast for their support and friendship, and also his family, friends and teachers who supported him and came and watched the show. Kim Turnbull (Ginny, Maggie 2, Stella, Meg) At five years old, Kim began her journey of acting in films and performing all over Los Angeles County with theater companies and talented musicians such as Lisa Marie Presley, Chick Corea, Chaka Khan and the late Issac Hayes. Some of her theater credits include West Side Story, Noises Off, A Mid Summer Night’s Dream, and Tartuffe: Born Again. She was a director in the collection of one act plays for Motel Chronicles and Chaos: An evening of One Act Plays by Christopher Durang. She is very happy to be a part of The Durang Menagerie and would like to thank the entire cast and crew for all their hard work and dedication to this play. |
