Office Location: San Rafael 338 INTRO PHILOS 5140 PHILO 101 12:00-1:01 PM M W SF116 Dr. Lina Gupta, professor and chair of the Philosophy Department at Glendale College, California, was educated in India and in the United States. She received her Masters in Philosophy from University of Calcutta, India and her Ph.D. in Comparative Philosophy from Claremont University, California. Her research focuses on ecofeminism with a specialization in Hinduism and Feminism. She authored numerous articles on various Hindu goddesses and women’s rituals. A Fulbright Grant recipient, Dr. Gupta researched and documented the festival of Hindu Goddess Durga in Calcutta, India. She is presently a consultant for the Economic and Social Council at the United Nations.
