William Burke Instrumental Scholarship.
One award is given to a student majoring in instrumental music. $200.
Pearl Proctor Memorial Scholarship.
Award given to a continuing outstanding female student studying vocal
music. An audition is required.
Mary D. Burke Vocal Scholarship.
Award given to a student majoring in vocal music. An audition is
required.
Jane Knecht Memorial Scholarship.
Award given to one or more continuing piano students majoring in music.
An audition is required.
Dick Charles Scholarship. Award
given to one or more outstanding music majors who have made significant
contributions to instrumental music. An audition is required. $500.
Music Instrumentalist Scholarship.
An award is given to one or more continuing students who are majoring
in instrumental music. Students must have a minimum grade point
average of 3.0. $100.
Shirley Seeley Scholarship.
Award given to two outstanding music majors who are transferring next
year. An audition is required.
Helen Conner Nern Scholarship.
Award given to several outstanding music students majoring in voice. An
audition is required.
Milt Young Choral Scholarship.
Awards given to four section leaders in College Choir. The award will
be given for musicianship and potential for leadership in the GCC
College Choir. An audition is required.
Milt Young Choral Assistant Scholarship.
Award given to one deserving College Choir and Concert Singers student.
The award will be given for musicianship, organizational skills and
potential for excellence in both GCC College Choir and Concert Singers.
Robert D. and Robert W. Butcher
Memorial Scholarship. Award given to a continuing disabled
student, not over the age of 32, who is taking music classes.
Patron's Club Scholarship in Music.
Two awards given to music students continuing at Glendale College.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5, and must be a
California High School graduate. The music department will recommend up
to four students for final selection by the Patron's Club. No
audition is required.
Alicia Thorp Memorial Scholarship.
An award is given to one or more continuing students majoring in
instrumental music. Students must have a minimum grade point average of
3.0. Financial need considered. $500.
Robert Pike Witten Performing Arts
Scholarship. Award will be given to two music students each
semester. Students must be carrying a minimum load of 12 units to
qualify, and at least 8 of these units must be in the performing arts.
The music department will recommend up to four students for final
selection by the scholarship office. No audition is required.
Mark Thallander Foundation Organ
Scholarship. Award will be given to one or two students
studying organ through the Applied Music Program. An audition is
required.
Elsie M. Keller Memorial Scholarship.
An award is given to one or more students majoring in music.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.4. Amount
divided among recipients. $400.
Julia Rossall Memorial Scholarship.
An award is given to a student majoring in music. Students must
have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. $150.
Makrouhi Jamgotchian Music Scholarship.
One award is given to a continuing student studying music.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Financial need is considered. $200.
Melineh Khachikian Music Scholarship.
One award is given to a continuing student majoring in music.
Students must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
Financial need is considered. $100.
