Tips For Your Tutoring Session
To get the most out of your tutoring session, here are some ways to help you work more effectively with your tutor:
- Be prepared to discuss with your tutor the various difficulties you are having in your Math class.
- You may not be able to cover everything in one session, so set your own specific goals for the session. Are you having trouble with a particular problem? Do you need to discuss certain concepts? Are you preparing for a test and need to review?
- Plan ahead for tutoring sessions and allow yourself plenty of time to work independently after you have met with a tutor. For example, do not show up 30 minutes before your Math test and expect a tutor to be available.
