CAI Lab (AD 232)
Overview of Lab
The CAI Lab features software designed to help students practice their skills in math, reading, and writing. Students may work on a series of lessons that specifically address individual needs as recommended by instructors, or they may use the diagnostic tools to determine which skills need improvement. Although instructors often assign lab work to reinforce skills taught in class, any currently enrolled student may drop in to use the lab. College credit mini-courses in basic vocabulary and grammar (English 182 and 183) are also available.
How To Use The Lab
- A GCC student I.D. card is required for checking into the lab. No exceptions!
- No food or drinks are allowed in the lab. Please turn off your cellular phones and pagers.
- Programs available:
- Internet Explorer
- Passkey
- WebCT Writing Jam
- Check-in Procedure
When checking in, please give your I.D. card to the aide and tell him/her the class for which you want credit. Checking in is very important; it is how we keep track of your hours in the lab, so you can get credit for your classes.
Important: If you decide to do lessons for another class while working in the lab, please tell the aide at the front desk in order to get the credit for that class.
